He creado un Twitter bot que lleva tejiendo sin parar desde la madrugada del 26 de enero de 2018. Está programado para publicar cada hora un tuit que representa una fila de punto, una orden aleatoria para tricotar línea a línea un jersey cósmico que tendrá su aparición estelar en My book of time.

Sé cómo empezó, pero no cuándo acabará. El otro día suspendieron temporalmente varias cuentas de art bots en una redada antispam, sosteniendo que hay «una línea muy borrosa que separa lo artístico, lo que se hace por entretenimiento o que termina siendo autopromocional, de lo que es el auténtico spam». Mientras tanto, dos bots se enredaban en un hilo de autorespuestas interminable.

Por no escribir Costume*of*stars bot dos veces o porque no se me ocurría nada mejor, lo apellidé @__o_o0o_o__; el otro día, investigando para un trabajo sobre la melancolía bajo el signo de Saturno, leo un artículo donde comentan el detalle de la estrella triple en la parte superior del cuadro Saturno devorando a un hijo de Rubens. Dicen que representa al planeta más distante conocido en aquella época como un astro triple, tal y como lo había observado Galileo en 1610: «Saturno, que no es en absoluto una estrella, como los otros planetas, sino que son tres reunidas juntas en una línea recta paralela a la equinoccial. Se representan así oOo.»

Meanwhile, two bots got entangled responding to each other in an endless loop. ≋ Maybe I didn’t want to name it Costume*of*stars bot twice, or I could’t think of any other surname so I wrote @__o_o0o_o__. Well, recently, doing some research on melancholy under the sign of Saturn I read an article that talks about the triple star detail in the upper part of Rubens painting Saturn Devouring His Son. They say it represents the most distant planet known at that time as a triple star, as Galileo had observed in 1610: «Saturn, which is not a star at all, like the other planets, but three gathered together in one straight line parallel to the equinoctial. They are represented as oOo.»
